Ken Byrd started Byrd Enterprises, LLC on 16 January 2013 with the mission to make a positive difference for customers, employees, partners, teammates, community, and the nation. In 2012 he served as the Senior Vice President of Operations for Decypher Technologies, a woman-owned small business headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. From 2006 to 2012, he was the Vice President of Business Development for CIBER, Inc. Prior to that, he served in the United States Air Force (USAF) for over 25 years retiring as a Colonel. Some of his responsibilities included: Deputy Director of CONOPs Champions, Headquarters USAF, Washington DC; Commander, 366th Mission Support Group, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho; and Command Director, North American Air Defense Command, Cheyenne Mountain AFS, Colorado. Ken graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1981 and has master’s degrees in Military Studies and Leadership, and Management. He has been married for over 30 years and has three children.

Tom Mallot joined Byrd Enterprises as the Vice President of Operations in February of 2013 and is now the Vice President, overseeing services delivery, proposal management, and business operations. He is an experienced professional, with over 29 years in the aerospace, program and project management, consulting, advisory and assistance, construction, IT, and medical services industries. As a leader of large development projects as well as managed services organizations and staffing operations, he is a resourceful and dynamic professional with a broad range of experience in fast-paced business, government, and military environments. His experience includes operations, product development, sales, and business development from companies like Boeing, IBM, and CIBER. He also has small business experience with Isothermal Systems Research (now SprayCool), Team Integrated Engineering, Inc., and Decypher Technologies. Tom has worked for Shipley Associates as a Senior Consultant, providing Capture, Proposal Management, and Business Development Training services to clients throughout the nation. Highly skilled in program management and business development, Tom is a strong leader and motivator who excels in teaching, training, and empowering employees. He has a proven record of success in creative and effective management of diverse personnel in multiple locations, bringing flexible, agile, adaptable, and results-driven approaches to customer satisfaction. He is completely committed to quality processes and service. Tom is a graduate of Lehigh University. He has been married for 24 years and has two children.

Amanda Johnson joined Byrd Enterprises in February of 2014. She brings with her 10 years of experience in the varied fields of landscaping, construction, and finance. Amanda graduated from Iowa State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture, specializing in Landscape Design. After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2005, she entered the construction management field, first as an estimator with Walker Landscape, and then as a project engineer with Tracy & Ryder Landscape. Amanda has worked on several large commercial landscape construction projects around Las Vegas including Red Rock Casino, The Palazzo, and City Center. In 2010, Amanda returned to school to pursue an Accounting degree. While in school, she went to work for MGM Resorts International first as an accounting auditor, then as a financial analyst. Her current position allows her to have a taste of both finance/accounting and construction. Amanda currently lives in Las Vegas with her husband of almost 1 year. They enjoy getting out and hiking around the area as often as possible and love Iowa State football.
